Mediation & Counselling Services
We regret to inform you, despite the LMC’s best efforts, that contracts for both counselling and mediation lapsed and there are no immediate plans for these services to be commissioned by NHSE.
We have detailed below organisation who provide services to practices - please bear in mind practices will have to bear costs for these services.
Tony Hamlin has over 20 years experience of mediation in a variety of environments including the NHS. He is registered as a workplace mediator with the Civil Mediation Council. He also trains mediators and provides courses in mediation skills. Additionally he is a sessional university lecturer in Civil and Commercial Mediation and a member of the panel of mediators with the Mediation Clinic at Canterbury Christ Church University. His principle services are:
- Workplace Mediation
- Employment Mediation
- Commercial Mediation
For more complex situations including financial, employment and partnership disputes, Tony is able to work in conjunction with a team of mediators whose backgrounds include employment law, HR Consultancy and legally-qualified Commercial mediators. Terry Leigh is an experienced independent mediation consultant working in London and the South East. He helps to resolve conflicts mainly in the NHS but also a wide variety of other organisations. His two main services are:
- Health Mediation - Resolving NHS complaints
- Workplace Mediation - Resolving workplace conflicts
Terry has provided expert guidance on mediation to both local and national bodies. He has also published articles on mediation in accredited journals.

Dover Counselling Centre
Dover Counselling Centre is a charitable organisation that offers an Employee Counselling Service for organisations that contract with us for their staff, as well as Training and Consultation to businesses and other agencies throughout Kent and beyond.
