Len Valley Practice is a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice committed to providing high-quality patient care to our local community. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Administrator to join our busy administration team.
We are seeking an organised and proactive Clinical Administrator to provide essential administrative support to our multi-disciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in the safe and efficient management of clinical correspondence, helping to support both our clinicians and patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing incoming clinical correspondence, extracting and coding relevant clinical information, accurately updating patient records, and ensuring documentation is filed in accordance with practice protocols. You will work to streamline administrative processes by managing correspondence where appropriate and escalating more complex or sensitive cases to the relevant clinician to ensure patient safety.
The role also includes summarising new patient records, supporting patient registrations, processing test results and electronic communications, assisting with recalls and screening programmes, supporting QOF and enhanced service administration, and contributing to quality improvement activities. You will work closely with the wider practice team to ensure efficient workflows while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, information governance, and data protection.
Applicants should have previous administrative experience, ideally within a healthcare or General Practice setting. Experience using clinical systems such as EMIS Web and knowledge of medical terminology and clinical coding would be advantageous, although training will be provided for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be highly organised, able to prioritise a varied workload, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
If you have the relevant skills and experience and are looking to join a supportive and welcoming practice, we would love to hear from you.
Please note this role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
