Job summary
Kingsnorth Medical Practice is looking for a friendly, motivated, responsible, conscientious and reliable person to join the nursing team.

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Practice. We are looking for part time applications to join our friendly practice for 16 hours between the hours of 08:00 am – 06:30 pm, Monday – Friday.

Successful applicants will be willing to act within their professional boundaries, providing care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will responsible for the delivery of general practice nursing to the whole practice population. The focus of the role is both the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with a chronic condition, and the provision of preventative health care to the practice population.

As an autonomous practitioner the successful applicant will be responsible for the care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical decision-making in the management of patients. In addition, they will work collaboratively within the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, support the delivery of policies and procedures, and provide nurse leadership as required.

The successful applicant will be a front line advocate for The Kingsnorth Medical Practice in line with practice policies and guidelines.

Qualifications Essential criteria
Full NMC registration required A-C in GCSE Maths and English

Desirable criteria
Cervical cytology training complete. Diabetes experience or a willingness to train in this area
