GP Partner – Sandgate Road Surgery, Folkestone, Kent
The position:
We are looking for a GP Partner to join our friendly, pro-active, GP led training Practice.
The right person will have a commitment to offering a high standard of patient care, be a great team player, be positive and motivated and be willing to work between 4 and 8 sessions.
About us:
The practice has 5 full-time GP partners and 3 employed GP’s with a list size of 12600 patients and consistently high QoF achievement. We are a friendly, supportive practice with a wide ranging and diverse multidisciplinary clinical team with good managerial and admin support.
Situated in West Folkestone just 2 minutes’ walk from Folkestone Leas with its stunning coastal views and close proximity to the vibrant Harbour Arm. We are a short walk to Folkestone West train station with its high-speed link to London. The town also has top nationally rated local grammar schools.
We are part of a very innovative Primary Care Network, giving us access to a host of clinicians and support services (Matrons; Clinical Pharmacists; Dietitians; Enhanced Care Homes Team; First Contact Physios, Centralised Workflow Optimisation Team).
We are a GP led training practice offering first class support to all of our clinical team with a track record of developing GP registrars, medical students. Paramedic practitioner and nurses. In addition, we have a robust nurse prescribing and specialist nurse team to help support care of our elderly population. We also have Tier 2 sponsorship status.
Main duties of the job:
We are looking for a doctor who is enthusiastic, innovative, and hardworking and works well in a supportive team.
You would undertake all the clinical duties associated with a GP working in primary care. The practice has worked hard to foster a good work life balance for all of its clinical team, there is currently no requirement to offer enhanced access availability, and we do not operate a duty doctor system. All clinical admin is shared on pooled lists and completed equally by salaried GP’s, partners and locums.
