The Elms Medical Centre is a friendly, semi-rural GP practice serving a patient population of around 12,500.
Our multidisciplinary team includes GPs, practice nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, clinical pharmacists, first contact practitioners, a physician associate, paramedics, a mental health professional, and a social prescribing link worker. The clinical team is supported by a team of managers covering practice management, business development, dispensing, and finance, with close collaboration across our Primary Care Network through a digital and transformation lead. We are also actively involved in training GP registrars and medical students.
We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team, working 30 hours per week (preferably Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
Key duties will include:
• New patient health checks
• ECGs
• ABPM recording
• Ear irrigation
• Blood pressure monitoring
• NHS Health Checks
• Diabetes foot checks
• B12 injections and selected immunisations
• Palliative care support
Previous experience in these areas is desirable, but full training will be provided where necessary.

• Good IT skills (EMIS knowledge desirable)
