Experience Healthcare Assistant Required
We are looking for an experience Healthcare Assistant to join our busy, friendly team for 30-35 hours per week.
The HCA will work as part of the primary care healthcare team providing nursing services to the patients of the Practice. Previous experience of working in General Practice is essential.
Main job responsibilities:
• ECG recording
• Phlebotomy
• Chaperoning duties
• Removal of sutures/clips
• Simple dressings following assessment by Practice Nurse
• Applying 24 hour blood pressure monitor
• Applying 24 hour ECG
• Smoking Cessation
• Assisting with Diabetic & Respiratory annual reviews where appropriate
• Blood Pressure monitoring – referring to clinician as required
• Administering Influenza/Pneumococcal/B12/Covid/Shingles/RSV vaccinations under PSD
• Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
• Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
• Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
• Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
• Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Excellent people skills and effective communication methods are required to meet the demands of this role.
Jubilee Medical Group is based across two practices – one in Longfield and one in New Ash Green. This position will be required to work at both practices.
We have 5 partners and 3 Salaried GPs with just under 16,000 patients.
We use EMIS Web as our clinical system and experience in previously using this would be desirable, although full training would be given.
