As part of our growing multidisciplinary team, we are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Paramedic Practitioner to enhance our clinical capacity and improve patient access and outcomes.
The Role:
We are seeking an Paramedic Practitioner to support our GPs in managing acute presentations, conducting home visits, and contributing to same-day care provision. You will work autonomously within your scope of practice, using your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of conditions, supported by a collaborative and experienced primary care team.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide urgent and same-day consultations for minor illness and acute conditions.
– Undertake home visits and assess patients in the community as appropriate.
– Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.
– Initiate treatment plans and refer patients to appropriate services or clinicians when necessary.
– Maintain clear, concise, and timely patient records using EMIS Web.
– Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, and pharmacists.
– Participate in audits, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
– Support patients in self-care and health promotion.

Person Specification:
Essential:
– Registered Paramedic with the HCPC
– Excellent clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
– Strong communication and team-working abilities
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable:
– Experience working in urgent/emergency care or primary care
– Experience using EMIS Web
– Additional training in minor illness, chronic disease management, or frailty
– Interest in long-term condition management or home visiting service
