We are looking to recruit an organised, reliable Phlebotomist to join our friendly GP practice team at The Churchill Clinic. This is an excellent opportunity to support safe, high‑quality patient care and help the practice manage increasing workload in a structured, efficient way.
About the role
Key responsibilities will include:
Undertaking venepuncture for adults in line with practice protocols
Preparing and correctly labelling samples, ensuring accurate completion of request forms
Ensuring timely and safe transport of specimens to the laboratory
Recording activity and relevant information accurately in the clinical system
Supporting practice systems for recalls, chronic disease monitoring and NHS Health Checks where appropriate
Maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment and adhering to infection prevention and control procedures
Working closely with GPs, nurses, HCAs and administrative staff to ensure clinics run smoothly and efficiently
Contributing to practice quality improvement, for example by supporting audits related to phlebotomy services
