Dr C.J. Shimmins & Partners are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our team. We are a busy but friendly GP practice in Dartford. Our clinical team has 5 GP partners, 4 salaried GP’s. We are a GP training practice and have a list size of approximately 15,500 registered patients.
We are looking to expand our current team of multi-skilled nurses. We have a part time role available and working arrangements are negotiable depending on skills.
Main job responsibilities are:
- Cytology
- Wound care / ulcer care / Doppler / Removal of Sutures
- Travel vaccinations
- Chronic disease management especially COPD, Asthma
- Hypertension management
- Routine immunisations/childhood immunisations
- Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
- Chlamydia testing / Swab taking
- HPV Vaccinations
- Contraception services
- Undertaking home visits as required
- Well-people checks
- Providing general advice and guidance to patients / health promotion
These are to name but a few of the skills required but we are willing to provide training to the successful candidate.
