Practice Nurse Required
We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our busy, friendly team for 10-15 hours per week.
The Practice Nurse will work as part of the primary care healthcare team providing nursing services to the patients of the Practice. Previous experience of working in General Practice required.
Main job responsibilities:
- Cytology
- Wound care / ulcer care / Doppler / Removal of Sutures
- Travel vaccinations
- Chronic disease management especially COPD, Asthma
- Hypertension management
- Routine immunisations/childhood immunisations
- Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
- Chlamydia testing / Swab taking
- HPV Vaccinations
- Contraception services
- Undertaking home visits as required
- Well-people checks
- Providing general advice and guidance to patients / health promotion
Excellent people skills and effective communication methods are required to meet the demands of this role.
Jubilee Medical Group is based across two practices – one in Longfield and one in New Ash Green. This position will be required to work at both practices.
We have 5 partners and 2 Salaried GPs with just under 16,000 patients.
We use EMIS Web as our clinical system and experience in previously using this would be desirable, although full training would be given.
