We are a mid size GP surgery with 8,000 patients working in Kemsley, which is a suburb of Sittingbourne in Kent, with a friendly and competent team of Administrators and Clinical staff.
We are therefore seeking a dynamic, resilient, Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. As a valued member of the team who is flexible, hardworking and empathetic, you will be responsible for the delivery of general practice nursing activities to our practice population.
Our Nurses work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of quality QoF and enhanced services, maintaining safe infection control processes, supporting the delivery of immunisation (both child and adult) and cervical screening programmes, investigatory procedures as required, safeguarding, policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership duties as required.
You will be therefore be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care to the whole practice population with a specific focus on management of patients with long-term conditions, but will also include participation in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team as well as ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all care provided .
As a valued member of the Team there will be a package of support and development. The Kent and Medway Training Hub in particular offer fully-funded support for newly qualified nurses to transition into Primary Care. This includes dedicated mentorship, clinical supervision and access to the New to Practice Programme where you will undergo a range of clinical skills development to support your career development.
Key Requirements
– Applicants must have up to date NMC registration as an RGN .
– Applicants must have worked as a General Practice nurse and have experience with Chronic Disease reviews, smears, childhood immunisations etc.
– Disclosure and Barring Service Check will be completed
