Maidstone Central PCN consists for 4 local GP practices, and PCN staff are based at the Downswood hub at Chiltern Close, Downswood. You will be working 20 to 30 hours per week which is negotiable. Remuneration depending on experience.
The Primary Care Network (PCN) Manager plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services within a group of GP practices. The role involves overseeing the coordination, administration, and operational management of the PCN, ensuring alignment with NHS policies, financial sustainability, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Development:
- Work collaboratively with Clinical Directors and GP practices to develop and implement PCN strategies.
- Developing Primary Care Network Team and working in collaboration with neighbouring PCNs and other stakeholders like ICB, PCSE, Maidstone Borough Council, KMICS, CMHT,
Support the development of new healthcare initiatives in line with NHS priorities. - Developing and expanding IT strategies with implementing and utilising AI
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and growth.
Operational & Performance Management:
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the PCN, managing projects and services effectively.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines and contractual obligations.
- Lead on workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development within the PCN.
Financial & Resource Management:
- Manage the PCN budget, ensuring financial sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee funding applications, income streams, and allocation of resources.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and NHS reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Act as the key liaison between GP practices, NHS England, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and other healthcare providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, commissioners, and community organizations.
- Lead on patient engagement and communication strategies to enhance service accessibility.
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to NHS policies, CQC standards, and legal frameworks.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks, including risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and policies.
