An opportunity has arisen for an experienced GP to join our team on a fixed term contract for maternity leave. We are ideally looking for 6 session per week, but this is flexible for candidates who are looking for fewer sessions. Applicants should have at least 3 years experience of working as a GP. We offer a good level of remuneration in addition to 6 weeks paid holiday. The practice holds Tier 2 sponsorship status.
We are a friendly, supportive practice with a wide ranging and diverse clinical team and good managerial and admin support. The practice has five fulltime GP partners and 3 salaried GP’s with a list size of 12,600 patients.
Situated in West Folkestone just 2 minutes’ walk from Folkestone Leas and walking distance from Folkestone West train station. There are good road links to the M20 and the town has plenty of good schools as well as vibrant restaurant and harbour district.
We are part of a very innovative Primary Care Network, giving us access to a host of clinicians and support services (Matrons; Clinical Pharmacists; Dieticians; Enhanced Care Homes Team; First Contact Physios, Centralised Workflow Optimisation Team).
We are a GP training practice with two trainers and are able to offer first class support to all of our clinical team and have a track record of retaining and developing our GP registrars. In addition, we have a robust nurse prescribing and specialist nurse team to help support care of our elderly population
The practice benefits from a great seaside location and plenty of free parking.
We are looking for a doctor who is enthusiastic, innovative, and hardworking and works well in a supportive team.
You would undertake all the clinical duties associated with a GP working in primary care. The practice has worked hard to foster a good work life balance for all of its clinical team, there is currently no requirement to offer enhanced access availability. All clinical admin is shared on pooled lists and completed equally by salaried GP’s, partners and locums.
