To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care. The post holder will adhere to the GMC standards of good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice. Leading by example and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
The shifts will be based at William Harvey Urgent Treatment Centre or at New Hayesbank Surgery (weekend enhanced access) or any such place locally that the contracted hours need to be completed. Current weekend access is Saturday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Responsibilities include:
All consultations assigned to the shift.
Work with colleagues to maximise effective and efficient delivery of care to patients.
To work within prescribing formulary taking into account minimum length of prescribed treatment.
Represent New Hayesbank Surgery in a professional manner when in contact with general public and other professionals.
Support locally developed urgent care pathways and community alternatives to admission
Support streaming of patients to or from co-located services.
Ensure that where appropriate the patient is referred for further management with the relevant service e.g. secondary care or community services.
