Practice Nurse / Nurse Practitioner at Edenbridge Medical Practice

Edenbridge Memorial Health Center, Four Elms Road, Edenbridge, Kent

This is an opportunity to join a multi-skilled team working in friendly environment where your skills can be utilised whilst ensuring our patients receive the appropriate professional care for their needs.

Our medical practice supports 13,100+ patients and we pride ourselves on our professional and caring approach to supporting our patients and the local community. We have recently moved to a brand new purpose built health center where we offer an integrated care approach.

We currently have vacancies for a Practice Nurse

This is a part time/full time role and the working arrangements are negotiable depending on the skills set of the applicants.

As a valued team member you will actively support the Clinicians to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Practice.

As a Practice Nurse you should ideally be qualified in chronic disease management to include: asthma, diabetes, cervical cytology, wound care, along with general treatment room duties. The Practice supports professional development to ensure a full skills mix of treatments can be provided to our patients.

As a Nurse Practitioner it is essential that you have experience of working in General Practice and that you are proficient to see and treat patients with minor illness.

Both roles require excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team supporting our doctors.

These roles require a well presented individual with a calm, methodical approach to work, the ability to deal empathically and professionally with the general public and a working knowledge of EMIS Web would be desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.

The successful applicants will be receptive to change, with excellent communication skills, be a team player and have a ‘can-do approach’ to work.

These roles will be subject to DBS vetting.
