An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience Medical Secretary to support our practice in the referrals department.

Maritime Health Partnership is a dynamic and forward-thinking practice in Medway. We are the Lead Practice for the Primary Care Network we are a supportive and caring employer, and our Senior Management Team have an open door policy which allows staff the freedom to share their views and opinions of how we operate, ask questions in relation to their own employment and terms and conditions, or to express concerns or obtain clarity on various topics.

We are creative with our approach to Primary Care and have an amazing group of staff who share our passion and commitment to do the best for our patients.

Duties will include but are not limited to:-

  • Processing referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS & EROS)
  • Support patients with their referral queries
  • Manage all administrative queries as necessary
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
  • Support all clinical staff with appropriate pathways for referrals
  • Maintain an accurate referral database
  • Arranging meetings and taking minutes
  • Dealing with queries in secretarial email account and action accordingly
  • Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently
  • Manage all enquiries in an effective manner

Previous good secretarial experience is essential for this role.
