NHSE Access to GP letter 14.9.20

Date sent: Wednesday 16 September 2020

Dear All

Many of you will have seen the disappointing NHSE Access to GP Letter 14th September 2020. We wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate all GP providers across Kent and Medway for your efforts over recent months. Kent LMC find communications such as these unhelpful and morale crushing. We implore our NHSE colleagues to apply a little more thought next time, particularly around their dealings with the media. We urge the CCG to show strong support for General Practice in this difficult time.

Thank you for working every day through the pandemic.

Thank you for remodeling services overnight to meet patient needs.

Thank you for being responsive to ever changing guidance.

Thank you for working your socks off.

Thank you for continuing to provide services when our hospital colleagues were managing the critically ill patients in overwhelming numbers.

It is going to be a difficult few month, Kent LMC are here to support you.
