To support the four PCN practices (Ivy Court, Charing, Hamstreet and Woodchurch) with their safeguarding tasks. Providing first point of contact support for all safeguarding support queries. Help practice staff organise and reply to requests for information from social services. Be responsible for keeping safeguarding records up to date and monitoring safeguarding status’ for patients.

Work closely with our adult and children's teams as well as the practice safeguarding leads to arrange safeguarding meetings. Preparing and sharing the agendas and ensuring invites are extended to relevant parties. Take and distribute minutes from safeguarding meetings. Updating patient notes. Complete onward referrals as appropriate. Chasing referrals and actions when they have not been completed. Completing general administration tasks within the adult and children’s teams.

You will be trained to be able to attend strat meetings with social services and other professionals to provide input on behalf of the GP in relation to the health and safety of children and vulnerable adults.

Attend multidisciplinary case review meetings and contribute relevant information from a safeguarding point of view and complete any safeguarding outcomes.

Support and advise clinical staff with safeguarding cases and also assisting with submitting safeguarding referrals.

Providing safeguarding training alongside your colleagues for staff and trainees across the practices.

If you are an innovative and enthusiastic individual with some base safeguarding experience, you might be the right person to join our fantastic forward thinking team.

Candidates must have a driving license and access to their own transport as this will involve working across four rural practices (Ivy Court, Charing, Hamstreet and Woodchurch). Mileage between sites will be reimbursed. Work mobile phone included.

There is an expectation that you would work one Saturday session (9-1 or 1-5) up to once per month and this is reimbursed at time and a half. Five weeks holiday plus bank holidays.
