We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physician Associate to join Medway Central PCN.
Medway Central PCN are an innovative and forward-thinking network of 5 GP Practices located in Central Chatham and Gillingham in Kent. With a strong background in training and development of the primary care workforce, the network offers a supportive working environment. Medway Central PCN prides itself on setting the bar high for impacting population health management and as such the current multi-discipline team provides great care to the circa. 50,000 patients within its catchment.
Medway PCN is made up of the following:
- Balmoral Gardens
- Bryant Street Medical Practice
- Brompton Medical Centre
- The Kings Family Practice
- Maritime Health Partnership
As a Physician Associate you will be acting within your professional boundaries, providing care for patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care under the supervision of a GP.
You will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the Primary Care Network (PCN), in consultation with the relevant GP. You will work within your professional boundaries as part of the Multi-Disciplinary team (MDT) across the PCN, supporting the delivery of the Primary Care Directed Enhanced Service to meet the needs of patients.
The role will offer you the opportunity to build on your experience of working effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team as well as developing positive new working relationships across organisational and professional boundaries.

The postholder will have access to appropriate clinical supervision and an appropriate named individual in the PCN to provide general advice and support on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements:
- Physician Associate Postgraduate Diploma/Masters from accredited UK university
- Registered with Faculty of Physician Associates/PAMVR and or the General Medical Council following implementation of statutory regulation, working within the latest code of professional conduct (CIPD)
- Has passed the UK Physicians Associate (PA) National Re-Certification Exam which needs to be taken every six years
- Have the ability to make clear decisions with confidence and communicate these effectively
- To exhibit excellent communication skills when dealing with clients. Non-verbal and verbal skills required
Note: Successful candidates are required to provide documented evidence of two doses of Covid-19 vaccination as a condition of deployment. This is a standard requirement for individuals working in a Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated health or social care workplace unless exempt.
